Online sessions
How to prepare for your online session
Preparation for an online session
I provide different types of online sessions. Please pick out the one that fits with your appointment.
A laughter session
All you need is a chair and room to move and have some drinking water handy. Laughter yoga can get active.
A reading/healing session
All you need is a place to sit comfortably. Feel free to bring some tea/coffee and/or snacks. I will record the reading for you to watch again at a later date. Online healings are not recorded.
A heart coherence session
You will need somewhere to sit up straight with you feet on the ground and keep your cellphone handy. We will be needing it.
Measurements cannot be done during an online session. These can only be done in a live session.
A (full) connected breathing session
You will be needing this preparation if you have booked an online private breathing session with me or if you will be joining an online workshop with a full breathing session.
There is no need for this preparation in case of an informative talk about breath.
It is best if you have your breathing space prepared before we begin and please place your laptop or tablet in such a way, that the camera views your body from the side, such that a part of your upper legs up until your face are visible when you lay down for the breathing session. Ideally, the view is slanting from the top onto you. Please take care of sufficient light and please wear a light colored top/T-shirt as this will make your breath movements visible for me, especially when the natural light fades. Needless to say that it is necessary for you to be on both video and sound for this session. Below you will find a handy list of things to prepare.
In terms of sound, a laptop is the best way to join (use speakers if you have them). If not, a tablet is a good alternative. My experience is that the sound is insufficient when dialing in with a phone. I do not recommend you use a phone to join, unless of course, you have no other alternative 😉
I will take care of the music so all you need to do is breathe.
You will need the following items for your breath session:
- A mat to put on the floor.
- A backjack or a pile of pillows.
- 3 large pillows.
- Two blankets.
- A belly bag: you can create one by wrapping some bags of rice, sugar, beans, flour, sand or pond gravel into a pillow case. You will need about 5 kg. The result should be about 20-30 cm wide and the length will be the width of your pillow case (Not necessary for an introductory session).
- A mouthpiece: you can create one by cutting off the screw top of a plastic bottle. Make sure to remove the plastic ring which held the top in place when it was sealed (not necessary for an introductory session).
- A hand towel
- A small garbage bin
- A pashmina, long scarf or belt.
- Tissues
- A tennis ball or a massage ball or a smooth stone or crystal. An apple also works quite well.
- Water to drink for after the session.
It is best to find a space where you can breathe in private. Let everyone in your house know that they should not interrupt. Also keep your pet at a distance, if possible. Let your housemates know there could be some sounds.
There is a video with an explanation on how to best set up your breathing space. I think this video can be supportive in the preparation of your breathing space.
You will find the video by clicking on this link. You will need a password to start the video. The password is: TBrsetup4U! Please make sure to also enter the exclamation mark in the password field.
Happy setting up and I look forward to seeing you soon!
